From http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5622 :

When you create a new Apple ID or make certain changes to your account, Apple will require you to sign in by following the link in a verification email. This is to help protect your identity and keep your account secure. Some Apple services, such as FaceTime and GameCenter, require email validation.

How do I verify my Apple ID by email?

Simply follow the link in the verification email that says "Verify Now." Sign in with your current Apple ID and password, then click Verify Address. You can also verify by signing in at My Apple ID. You'll receive an email prompting you to verify.

When creating an iTunes account you should receive an email to the email address on the account, with a 'verify now' link in it. Have you received the email ?

When you create an iTunes account you should get a verification email sent to the email address that you used on your iTunes account, which should have a 'verify now' link in it which you need to click on - that should open a browser and you need to into your iTunes account on that. Have you received that email ? If it's not in your inbox then have you checked the spam folder on the account ? If you have the email but don't see the link in it, or the link doesn't do anything, then you may need to try a different browser and/or change your security settings on your browser/computer.

You logged into your via the 'manage your apple id' button on http://appleid.apple.com ? After typing in the id and password you should get a screen where you can get the verification email resent. If you have the email on your account but it doesn't have the 'verify now' link in it then try opening the email in a different browser/program

You wont be able to verify your account by logging into it in iTunes, the verification email is related to your email account i.e. to check that you have access to the primary email address that you - so you have to receive the email and click on the 'verify now' link in it which will open a browser window

Oh WOW! I solved my own issue and maybe this will help others. Since there was no place to click on the email I thought it may just be something with my particular cable companies email. I forwarded it to my work email and it showed a written out underlined blue link and IT WORKED! So any others who have this particular issue of having no place to CLICK in the original emails try this!

If you aren't seeing the verify link on the account on http://appleid.apple.com then that implies that the account is already verified

Is there a 'cancel' option on that FaceTime screen, clicking on that appears to have worked for some people : Re: Facetime "Verify Email Address"

If not you may be better off starting a new thread in the relevant forum on here (Using iPad, Using iPhone, iPod Touch) : https://discussions.apple.com/welcome

I am having a similar issue. I gave up before when trying to get ICloud set up when iI needed to verify my email address but now HAVE to upgrade to iso7 to run some of my apps. The issue is that there is no VERIFY NOW to click on in any of the emails! There is the message content and a small apple logo in the top right corner but no place to click! I tried roaming the curser over the whole page trying to luck onto the pointer hand to indicate a place to actually click. I tried 2 different computers. If anyone can help please do!
