video connection with pioneer head unit

Have Pioneer AVIC F50BT head unit and i'm having a few issues which the man from Pioneer says is down to Apple, and not them.

1) When i connect my ipod touch 64Gb 4th gen to my head unit using appradio, the allow or ignore window comes up on my ipod, this is very annoying as its in the glove box and i have to push the allow button every time i want to connect to appradio.

2) Videos on the head unit have just started to play at ipod size ie, 320x240 leaving a huge black band around the seven inch screen, this is normally solved by the zoom feature on the unit itself, but this is no longer zooming to full screen

I paid alot of money for this unit and feel a bit let down because the unit is supposed to be completely Ipod compatable and is quite clearly not.

If theres anyone out there who is havong the same issues and more importantly some solutions, i would very interested in hearing them.

For which iOS version does Pioneer say it should work? Sometimes an iOS version breaks compatibility.

IOf that is case you have to wait for an iOS update or firmware update to the car system.

However, sometimes this works:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

My iPod touch 4th Gen is running 6.1.3, i've just reset the iPod and updated the head units firmware hopefully this will resolve the problem, i will keep you posted, in the meantime thanks for your suggestions.

Thanks so much for your help, videos are back to normal size and the annoying allow or ignore message skips and goes to main screen.
