Oct 21, 2013 10:21 AM in response to marthafromlas crucesby Joe Gramm,★HelpfulOne place you can buy memory is Other World Computing. Make sure you know your Model Identifier before you order so you end up with the correct memory. Pretty sure the link is your model.

Oct 21, 2013 10:22 AM in response to marthafromlas crucesby ssls6,★HelpfulI like www.macsales.com. You can go to their site and buy an additional (2gb x 2) or two additional memory sticks each being 2gb in size. Your mac should already have 2 x 2gb sticks in it. When you are done you'll have 4 x 2gb or 8gb total ram.
The memory sticks are inserted from the bottom. I would recommend you go to youtube and watch videos on installing memory into a 2010 iMac. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Oct 21, 2013 1:11 PM in response to Csound1by Joe Gramm,It is odd that the Header on their website and other information on the site refers to Other World Computing. But the URL is eshop.macsales. Does anyone know the history for that.

Oct 21, 2013 1:14 PM in response to Joe Grammby Csound1,This does not answer your question but gives a short history (quite interesting history) of OWC

Oct 21, 2013 1:37 PM in response to Csound1by Joe Gramm,The Wikipedia article is interesting and as you say, does not give the complete answer. No mention of macsales. It just seems if OWC was formed in 1994, they would have bought "owc.com". Could be by 1994, the domain OWC was not available anymore.
But who knows! I'm only interested because I'm a long time customer.

Oct 22, 2013 9:56 AM in response to Joe Grammby marthafromlas cruces,Hi all, I ended up buying it here and it's been shipped. They all seem to cost around the same amount.
www.ramjet.com
The website is down right now.
They were very friendly on the phone and I'll post back here if it works!

Oct 22, 2013 10:00 AM in response to marthafromlas crucesby Joe Gramm,One of the most important things about installing RAM is getting it seated properly. So if it's suppose to click into place, listen for the click. Of course the most important thing is installing the correct RAM for the machine.
