iTunes Store not working on Windows 8.1

I upgraded my laptop to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8. iTunes works fine as in the music plays etc. But when I click on 'iTunes Store', it doesn't load and says that iTunes has stopped working. Can someone please find a solution to this problem ASAP. Thank you.

I am having the same problem that Sony Singh is having.

I went as far as uninstalling iTunes, and restarting, reinstalling... uninstalling all things Apple, and restarting, reinstalling. Even tried compatiblility modes and running as an Administrator.

Nothing is working and I really want to download The Fray's new single.

Please help!

I got the store to work. I uninstalled all Apple products on my PC - iTunes, QuickTime, the installer and one other product. i also uninstalled and reinstalled Java and the Adobe Flash player (not sure this is necessary - someone recommended it). I kept the 'open checl box after done' box checked and opened iTunes. still no store. then i rebooted my PC, opened iTunes and now i can get to the store.

I did what RSolem did and now I'm able to access the itunes store with no problems. I did go one step further and deleted any exsistence of apple out of the registry. Then I cleaned up my registry with my existing norton 360, did a restart. Loaded itunes again but did not launch it where it ask in the last screen if you want ot launch itunes after the installer is complete. Restarted again, tried it out and I'll be, it worked and worked on all users. Thinking it was going to fail after the first time I kept closing and reopening itunes and accessing the store but it worked everytime. So if you have adobe flash player uninstall it.

to uninstall the Apple products, i went to the Control Panel and chose Programs and Features. Finding the Control Panel in Windows 8 varies depending on what brand of PC you have.

When you run the iTunes installation program, it will ask you at the end if you want to open iTunes or not with a check mark in a box. i left it as it is. i put that in my post, just in case the detail made a difference.

good luck!
