If I have a 2nd generation AppleTV and new 1080p AppleTV, AND I set default iTunes video download to 1080, will it download 1080-based video to the 2nd generation AppleTV? I ask because the 2nd generation is on a bit slower connection. I'd rather not slow the download, when all it can do is 720. Thanks for any help.
The 2nd gen can only output a max of 720P
I realize that the 2nd gen can only output 720. The question is . . . does iTunes realize when it is downloading to a 2nd gen AppleTV and only dowload video at 720.
The device can only output 720P so regardless of what the source is that is what you will get (i.e. even if it's a 1080 stream it will output at 720)
