Macbook Pro Retina 15 is overheating

I have bought MBP Retina a month ago and now I'm doing some science calculations. I'm really worry about CPU temperature. I am using only 30% of CPU, but the temperature is about 100-104 degree (Celsius). I have found only one solution for this: to use application "iStat Menus" to manually switch "Active Set" to "high", it increases fans frequency and the temperature is decreasing to 95 degrees.

Is it a problem of my laptop?

Yes, those temperatures are concerning considering the thermal limit for your processor is 100C (212F) according to intel. The fans should respond accordingly and you should not have to manually tamper with them in order for them to do so.

First, make sure you have downloaded the latest firmware/software updates for your model:

Finder Menu Bar > Apple Logo > Software Update...

Try resetting the SMC:

Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) - Support - Apple

Runaway applications can cause this:

If the issue persists, bring your machine in to Apple.
