How do I move photoshop to new mac and keep my downloaded fonts?

Hi there.

I am planning to buy a new MacBook very soon and am beginning to sort out all my files in preparation. I currently have Adobe Photoshop CS and have quite a few fonts on there that I have downloaded and would like to transfer everything to my new laptop without losing my fonts. How do I do this? I would be using an external hard drive to transfer files.

The migration assistant that will run when you first start up your new Mac will step you through how to transfer everything from your old Mac. You don't even need an external hard drive, but you will need either a network cable, a FireWire cable or a Thunderbolt cable, depending on what your old Mac has available.
