VMware fusion / Wine /others...?

Hi - am new to Mac - and very happy with it, but I want to run just one Windows program (Capella 2002) withou messing up all the nice stuff and slic operating system of the Mac. I've seen VMware fusion, also Wine, and am wondering what's the best? What will leave everything else alone and just let me use that one program when I want to?

Thanks!

Mac mini, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

I have been using VirtualBox VMs almost since I purchased my late model 2012 iMac and it has been a most exceptional piece of software. This past week however I have discovered Parallels Desktop 9 and it blows the pants off anything I've seen VM wise. Installations of both Windows 8 and XP are a breeze as well as various flavours of Linux. Also there is excellent gaming and 3D graphics support! Certain 3D programs seem to actually run faster under Parallels Desktop 9 VMs than they do under OS X itself. If you are looking for a free VM try VirtualBox it has 3D support for Windows VMs. However I've not had much luck performance wise using VirtualBox 3D gaming support. The Parallels Desktop 9 however seems to love 3D gaming under OS X. It doesn't do advanced shading but that's about it.

Strongly recommend Parallels Desktop 9 for Mountain Lion OS X.
