My documents are "waiting" to print in print summary. How can I force them to begin printing?

I have a HP LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw. It is not printing when I use Airdrop. My documents stay in the print summary queue saying "waiting". How can I get them to register with the printer. I've made sure they are both on the same network. Besides that there are no other instructions from Hp or Apple.

iPad (4th gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 7.0.2

Well that certainly bites now .... Close all of the apps again like Diavonex described for you in the post above. After you close all of the apps, reboot the iPad this time.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

After you reboot the iPad see if you can find your printer again. If it finds the printer, try printing something again.

I think that something wonky is going in with the network.
