If none of these help, you may have a swollen battery which can be causing issues, you should take it in to an Apple store and have it checked out, they will diagnose it for free. Make an appointment before hand.

Oct 22, 2013 9:16 AM in response to sanjampetby vrutherford,Before I posted I cleaned everything to make sure it wasn't just a fluke. It still doesn't work on a very specific part of the track pad. The very center. Unfortunately I do not have insurance on my mac anymore. Would taking it to the Apple store cost money? Or only if they fixed it?

Oct 22, 2013 9:25 AM in response to vrutherfordby sanjampet,★HelpfulThe diagnostic is free, they will then give you your options. If it is a swollen battery it should be replaced ASAP as it could more problems. The battery is under the trackpad.
Best of luck
