I was just wondering if the install had any problems

No it doesn't.

No, it doesn't work. I figured out it's the problem with Java. The java update was corrupted. Since I guess AppStore and Safari use java, it failed royally. It doesn't seem there is a way to do a full upgrade. The upgrade is delta update so if it is corrupted, there is no way to repair the corrupted java file. I can't even use AppStore to re-install Java.
I have had Java turned off for over a year and have had full access to the App Store and Safari.

When the blue bar got to the end, and it said "less than 1 minute remaining" ... Then it just sat there for a good 15 minutes! I was beginning to think something had gone wrong, and was tempted to force a restart - but fearing the consequences of doing that I just kept waiting and eventually it finished.
"OS X could not be installed on your computer
The OS X upgrade couldn't be started because the disk Macintosh HD is damaged and can't be repaired. After your computer restarts, back up your data, erase your disk, and try installing again.
Click Restart to restart your computer and try installing again."

Yes, for some reason every install since and including Snow Leopard have done this. If you select Show Process, you will see that it is still installing data evn while saying 1 minute left. Patience is a virtue, luckily.

I finally fixed the problem after I reinstalled Maverick three times in recovery mode. The third time finally fixed the corrupted files.
If the Install Mavericks application resides on an EXTERNAL drive (in my case a Firewire drive), the installation is stuck on the Boot screen with the Apple logo and the wheel (probably because FW drivers are not loaded yet). If the application is copied to an internal drive, it works correctly. I have upgraded to Mavericks on a DIY Fusion drive which also has Bootcamp. No issues so far.
Flip4Mac (and some other plugins may not work or may require upgrades - http://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1222069 )
The same FW drives works properly when connected after the Mavericks upgrade.
I have 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) after i downloaded the Maverick installer and starting the installation it's apear the message, it said "Cannot continue the installation, because cannot making recovery disk" and restart back to my normal computer. My computer is iMac with snow leopard OS, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, 3.06 ghz intel core 2 duo, nVidia Geforce 9400m. Please help me!
Thanks!

2. From OSx Terminal -> please post the output of command diskutil list.
Ok
1. my computer is iMac 21.5 inch late 2013 with 10.6.8 osx (Snow leopard)
2. here is the output from Terminal

You can create the recovery disk partition for Snow Leopard manually (the recovery disk partition is automatically created for Lion, Mountain Lion and Maverick).
Follow this instruction:
On a Macmini which originally had ML (and an existing Recovery HD partition...)
/dev/disk0
#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
0: GUID_partition_scheme *500.1 GB disk0
1: EFI EFI 209.7 MB disk0s1
2: Apple_HFS Macintosh HD 371.2 GB disk0s2
3: Apple_Boot Recovery HD 650.0 MB disk0s3
4: Microsoft Basic Data BOOTCAMP 128.0 GB disk0s4
I upgraded to Mavericks without issues.

You may be running into an issue because Mavericks may not be able to deal with a Bootcamp partition AND a missing Recovery HD (SL does not have one).
Ignoring your iPod, can you run the two commands (fdisk and gpt) and post the output here?
Is there a possibility that you can
1. Backup your SL.
2. Delete the BOOTCAMP partition (after you have a good backup of your Windows installation)
3. Install Mavericks with a single OS X partition
4. Re-install Windows.

Are you certain SL will let you create a Recovery partition? I do not have SL handy to test it.
Yes, the recovery disk partition was introduced after Snow Leopard to allow you to install/recover without using an external DVD disk or thumb-drive.
It doesn't mean that you cannot add the recovery disk partition in Snow Leopard without reformating it.
That is, in Snow Leopard, you can only install OSX using an external disk. But you are not installing Snow Leopard any more. That is why when you install OSX later than Snow Leopard, you can use the recovery disk partition within your internal drive to install without needing an external disk.
Because the recovery disk partition is not in your Snow Leopard volume, you have to create it manually. Then you can install Maverick using the newly created disk partition to install it.
