I can't seem to find any way to adjust the scrolling speed in Mavericks on my 2.5 GHz 13" MacBook Pro. I'm hoping that I've simply overlooked a menu or window somewhere, because at the moment my wrists are already sore from having to use twice the effort to make it halfway down most pages in Safari.

Nevermind, I found it. If anyone is curious: Go to System Preferences > Accessibility > Mouse & Trackpad > and click on either Trackpad Options... or Mouse Options... and you can make the adjustment there.
I had the same issue with Mavericks. The slower scrolling was painful. I thought it was just me or was just Google Chrome - good to know its an easy fix. Cheers! 🙂
I'm having the opposite problem after upgrading to Mavericks. My mouse scroll is blazing fast, even at the slowest setting. This is true of all apps (not just firefox browser), so it must be a system setting.
Does anyone know of a command line approach to slowing the mouse down?
I have Logitech M705 on an iMac.

I already went there. The setting is already to the slowest possible. The scroll is still too fast.
Any other suggestions?
See if there are drivers for your mouse from Logitech. I use a Microsoft Explorer 3.0 and I don't get good tracking unless I have their OSX drivers installed.
Yes, that could be it. Logitech has drivers, though they are for OSX 10.8. 😟

Apple is hiding more practical input device options to Accessibility 😮, such as "ctrl + scroll to zoom in" since Lion.

i had the same situation and kind of solved. but here is an other issue ; i need to change as my personal speed everytime i turn on my mac. i mean when i shot down it becomes the default before.

I too was suffering with the same issue and thanks to your post, found the answer. The question is, why are these option buttons for Trackpad behavior and Mouse behavior not "accessible" from their respective Trackpad and Mouse System Preferences panes??? What an oxy moron - moving these options into "Accessibility", thus making them less accessible to users! Apple, it is not good interface logic that these options should not be available from the preference pane that you would naturally go to for control of these input devices! Why not put these option buttons in both places, if you think they also need to be available in "Accessibility"? That's an easy fix!
