Installation of Mavericks fails and states that download is corrupt and to redownload from the App Store. This is my 4th time deleting and restarting the download. File is the correct size, intact, and in the applications folder. Any help is much appreciated. Even though I have Comcast Extreme 105, I hate burning the cycles on this.
I've already tried for 6 times and nothing, the same error...
Btw, I have mid 2011 iMac 27"
MBA, purchased 4 days ago. Download 3 times, same problem. Tried different methods from this forum. Seeking a solution.
mine is a MBP early 2011 😟
It's maybe not a solution, but I used an RJ45 cable on my third download instead of wifi to download it and it worked.

No, I didn't try but I'll give it a try.
I even tried to use a flash drive but not even that worked!
I've tried your solution about changing the power management profile - it didn't work.
P.S. macbook air mid 2012 with 4 gb ram
i finaly have a fix
1)delete the file from application folder(better to do it with 3rd party app like appclean
2)TURN OFF and ON the machine,NOT RESTART
3)download and istall

I've the same problem - MacBook Air Mid 2012.
Downloading it about five times, everytime the same. Tried also restarting and so on, but nothing works.
This is crazy. I downloaded it 30 times. I tried everything, what I found on internet. Nothing helps. That's why it is FREE now - Think different.
Worked for me, as well, after the fifth attempt.
The only thing i did different is that i upgraded my OS from Lion to Mountain Lion.
Well, the other day I tried once again to install via the normal way and it worked. It simply worked!

Where can one find the actual downloads of the OS install from the App store to make sure there is not more than one instance?
I am having the same issue, I will try what Kirill suggests I've restarted yet not shut down lol
