Apple users are so polite.
After using Word for decades, a few years ago I decided to make the move and join the wondeful world of Apple word prcessing. I got over the niggles of learning new software and was happy to have made the move.
I had lots of lovely, well organised pages files - you've guessed it - my main use for pages is to use Outline.
So, enthused by the latest Apple presentation, off I trot to the store to spend another few thousand dollars (on top of the 10s of thousands I've spent on Apple products in the past). All very happy - not a problem, great products, systems and software.
I wish someone had taken a photo of my face when I opend my first Pages file on the new system. NO OUTLINE. All of my carefully tierred and organised files are a linea mush.
Sure there's bullets - but that's about 20% of a solution.
Being an Apple user I politely smiled to myself and thought -- I -- must have made a mistake - it must be there somewhere. According to the discussion it isn't.
I've been using Apple since Adam was a lad - this is the first time I've made a contribution to an Apple post. ie the first time I have been REALLY steaming under the collar.
APPLE - SORT THIS OUT - you have some very annoyed customers out here. Outline is a basic function of any decent word processor and has been availble from 'pre-historic' times...
...So, smiling sweetly to myself again. I shall now spend my Sunday morning fiddling with my Apple system to see if I can reinstate my old version of pages - and hope it runs on Mavericks and the new Mac. "Ho Hum, it's an Apple life for me, fun fun fun fun fun fun..."
