Loss of Perspective, Scale and other 3D animations with Keynote '13/Mavericks?

Having just updated my MBP, my nicely animated Keynote pitch has defaulted to "dissolve" animation... ugh... one step forward, two steps back...

Some of the other unique and special Keynote animation are gone... I assume that this is lost functionality for the cause of device compatibility, that said... These really gave a nice look and polish...

Please advise if it's possible to uncover these nice effects!

I have most of the same animations in both versions. I don't have Perspective though.

It might not be a perfect solution but check your Applications folder for an iWork 09 folder. I found all my old apps in there after the update. You could open the old files in the old Keynote, as long as you have backup copies that you haven't opened in keynote 13.

Absolutely disgusted at the loss of these transitions. This sort of feature made keynote head and shoulders above PowerPoint and a major feature differentiator. Taking these away is a MAJOR step backward and frankly the replacements are poor.

Bring these transitions back. I love going forward with my hardware and software but I'm going back to Keynote 09 to get the Keynote I love.

After waiting almost 4 years for a Keynote upgrade, this is what we get? What a disappointment! 😢

I've been trying to see if there was an option to include old animations (like in Keynote 09), but I can't find it. The new animations don't make up for the loss of so many of the old 3D animations.

I do hope they bring them back with an update...

I just recreated what you may be seeing. If you click and drag an image into a TEXT box, it's assumed you want the text of the URL. However, if you remove all text boxes from the screen then try again, it should be coming over as an image.

In this screenshot, I selected all the objects first so you could see the outline of the text box on the default slide that I dragged into.

Look at the VERY bottom of the screenshot you just posted. Under Find, Spelling, Substitutions... under Start Dictation.
