How do I know if the "Update Adobe Flash Player is available" popup is legitmate or a virus?I thought Flash was updated along with official OS updates.

Don't install it. Dismiss it.
Install Adobe Flash Player
System Preferences > Other/Flash Player > Advanced > "Check Now"
