Q: How do I get my still current phone number off my old iPhone.

I'm trying to sell my old iPhone and I'm trying to make sure all my info is off it. I set it back to its factory settings. But under contacts it still says my number. I want that to not be there since I have a new phone. I have already deleted my old iPhone from my Apple ID list but my old number still shows up

Yes, ATT uses GSM which is dependent on your SIM card.

 

You should remove your SIM card and completely erase the phone before selling it. Do not sell the phone with your SIM card; the buyer will get a new SIM card from ATT programmed with the proper data.
