Mavericks Keychain keeps asking to unlock "Local Items" after install

They have hack Apple and every cell phone is tht what you say?

I was having the same problems, after following those steps It was solved.

I followed the instructions and it said can not find folder.

Thank you Shellcode, that was the only way to repair the Keychains on that corrupted profile. Make sure to have a backup of your keychains and reimport the ones you have the password for.

OS X: Keychain Access asks for keychain "login" after changing login password

SSo I'm a new Mac user (well I have had no problems with the iPhone ipad world-just the MBA)...and I am having this "local items" & keychain issue after a software update. I've done everything in the previous posts short of putting it away in the 3 day old box. when I try to creat a "new keychain" , make/verify password, I get the pop up box "warning your Mac is going to melt into a silver hot puddle in your lap".., well not really, it says "keychain access wants to use the local items keychain, please enter password" and I can't enter the new password since I deleted the old and forgotten one. I can't go further except to cancel and the supposedly created "login" is nonexistent When I try to make the new one default. Please help! (and it was so shiny new...)

This should be right at the top of the to-do list. Was trying to sort this issue for past 3 hours. The terminal suggestion worked like a breeze. Thanks man. You made my day.....🙂

This solves all my problem:

1. Open terminal
2. cd ~/Library/Keychains
3. ls
   1. When you 'ls' here you will see a folder that contains a bunch of random number liks so:
   2. 94ED610F-DD96-4ECF-A2BC-7D2F8651A464 (this number is unique on each system)
4. rm -rf 94ED610F-DD96-4ECF-A2BC-7D2F8651A464
5. Reboot
6. <when you log back in everything should be back to normal>
