S.M.A.R.T error on macbook pro during Mavericks

So basically I was trying to install the Mavericks upgrade on my expired apple care macbook pro:( A few days ago I got into an argument with my mother and banged on my macbook where the harddrive is and had my windows parition fail on me and now I guess the smart error has to do with this. How much is it to get a repair from apple when your apple care expired.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

You are going to have to take it to an Apple Store and have them look at it, they will be able to tell you what you would have to pay. This site is set up for other users to help each other out in times of need should they need to try something before needing to take the computer in.
