Share Buttons Not Working in OS X Mavericks?

Hi I have had this issue before with Mountain Lion, but nobody was able to answer my question... eventually the issue "fixed" itself and I have no clue how. But either way, I need to get this issue resolved :/

I JUST installed Mavericks on my MacBook Pro 15" (mid 2012 model). The Notification center tweaks are kind of my favorite new feature in Mavericks, and I wanted to try it out... all of a sudden, the sharing widgets stopped working ._. They had worked before in Mountain Lion, and now that OS X 10.9 is installed, they just don't work anymore! I can click them as much as I want and nothing appears... no little notecard for a Facebook post, no text box for Twitter drops down, and the speech bubble for Messaging doesn't work either. I tried everything I could... shutting down and restarting the computer, removing the associated accounts and re-adding them, disabling Notification Center... everything! The Share buttons in Notification Center just stopped working in Mavericks!

If anybody can help me fix this problem I would really appreicate it! Thank you!

Using the Process Monitor application, I have discoverez that the Notification Center was using about 100% of the processor power. Since I have a dual-core unit, that means that 50% of all my computing power were devoted to the Notification Center. If I check the "cumulative use" of the application, Notification Center got 20 hours of cycles (where the computer had been restarted 22 hours earlier).

Clearly a problem here.

So, I have KILLED the Notification Center process. Don't worry, launchd will restart it as soon its "crash" is discovered.

So now, Notification Center uses 0.9 % of the processing power. And the share buttons work.

Go to "Launch Pad", then go the "Other" folder... in this section, look for the app called "Activity Monitor". Scroll through the list of processes and try finding the one that says "Notification Center". Once its highlited, click the stop sign shaped icon underneath the button to close the screen. It will ask you if you want to terminate the process... click yes. Go back to Notification Center (which will automatically relaunch), and try tweeting/facebooking/messaging 🙂 it should work!
