Tried updating to the latest version of iMovie and I get the following message. "Your computer's video card does not meet the minimum system requirements." I haven't had any luck finding what those requirements are. What are the minimum requirements?

Yep, I have a mid-2007 iMac with the same issue.
I don't use iMovie that much, so it's not too big of a deal - except for the notifications and the red 1 badge. Is there any way to silence the notifications and remove the badge?
Even Microsoft's Windows Update lets you hide updates you don't want. :/
That's my biggest complaint as well now. If my machine doesn't meet the minimum requirements; stop pushing the **** update!! Why is it offered to begin with if my hardware doesn't work with it?
It would just be nice to have the ability to choose which updates we wish to take with the ability to hide the notification bubble for those that we dont, period!
Seems that it is a sporatic issue though. I have a friend who happens to have an identical machine to mine and he was able to get the update. Very interesting.....
Has anyone else with this issue realized that if you open your current version of iMovie after updating to Mavericks, that when you try to record video through the iSight camera, it will not recognize a camera connected? I cannot upgrade iMovie, and cannot use the current version (iMovie 09).
How awesome! I just tried and looks like we've found yet another bug. My isight camera doesn't work with it either. Wow. I'm certain that Apple will begin to look at this the more people realize that their old software no longer works after they update to Mavericks when it clearly stated that it was compatible for imacs 2007 and newer.
Same problem yesterday here. But this mornig, I got a notification to update iMovie.... and it worked !

I have a mid-2007 iMac with the HD2600 Pro card. As of this morning I still cannot update to iMovie 10, but I can still use the iSight camera in the previous release, so this is clearly not a consistent issue for all users.
Same here... exactly the same iMac as you and same problem. I also agree with the other guy who said... if I can't upgrade then there should be a way to "hide" it from the list
Same here for the HD2600, early 2008 iMac though; iMovie 9.0.9 seems still fully fuctional as of now, including the built in camera. I don´t mind it stays like that. Just would like to get rid of the stupid proposal to upgrade to iMovie 10, it´s irritating to no end on top of the Mail issues...
Got the upgrade message this morning as well, and finally it worked. No more annoying update bubble. All seems fine and dandy.
Why set this requirements? This unreasonable settting.
I have the same machine imac 2007 Ati Radeon HD2600 pro and was unable to update iMovie from the Mac App Store as it came up with your graphics card doesnt meet the miniumum system requirements.
But as others have also found the next day - the notifiaction popped up in the top right hand corner - I pressed update and it started downloading and installing!
I wound up ZIPping the copy of iMovie 10 on my MBP and copying it over to my iMac, where it works like a charm. That also caused the update badge & notifications to go away. Glad to hear the DL issue has been fixed for most folks now.
Having same problem. Not able to upgrade because of minimum requirements for graphics card. Would be nice to turn off the big RED 1 if I can't download.
I don't use Movie that much but when I do I like to have the latest updates. Now what?
Tried that with the version from my MBA but it will not launch on the iMac. Hope it gets sorted although like others I tend use iMovie infrequently so it is not a serious issue at the moment
