Does updating to Mavericks install iTunes 11?

You should be promped to update iTunes because when I installed Mavericks it gave me an iTunes update.

Do you want to update to Mavericks or just get iTunes 11?

You can always downgrade, I see people not liking the iTunes 11 and downgrading; if you look in the forum u should be able ot find a link to downgrade to stay on 10.7

I was running Mountain Lion with iTunes 10.7, and the upgrade for Mavericks did indeed update iTunes to 11. But I pretty easily able to get 10.7 back, and it's working flawlessly. Only took about 5 minutes.

Also, it can save you a lot of time if you never open the new iTunes after installing Mavericks. That way, your iTunes library files never get changed and don't have to be restored from backups.

I used the terminal commands, entered one at a time.

Well... suck. Indeed, the Mac App Store isn't working for me, either. Good thing I don't use it much, but still. Better put a warning in the post.
