Does updating to Mavericks install iTunes 11?

Hey, us guys still on iTunes 10.7? Does updating to Mavericks install iTunes 11 or do I have to stay on Mountain Lion. Thanks for your responses!

I've just read an article on the right hand side of these pages that Mavericks installs iTunes 11 so it looks like I'm going to be sticking with Mountain Lion. I don't want to go through the fustration of downgrading iTunes. Read this article here. One guy says no, the other guy says yes?

I was running Mountain Lion with iTunes 10.7, and the upgrade for Mavericks did indeed update iTunes to 11. But I pretty easily able to get 10.7 back, and it's working flawlessly. Only took about 5 minutes.

I put the instructions I used up here: http://awesometoast.com/downgrading-to-itunes-10-7-from-itunes-11-on-osx/

Also, it can save you a lot of time if you never open the new iTunes after installing Mavericks. That way, your iTunes library files never get changed and don't have to be restored from backups.

Hey, I read a post in another thread (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5474557?answerId=23492327022#23492327022) that said this:

---

"But there is one serious problem - after you have downgraded to itunes 10.7 and reboot your Mac you got a problem in Mac App Store. No one upgrade (except itunes 11.1.2) or any app can be downloaded. (One importatnt notice - if u don't reboot your mac after downgrading to itunes 10.7 all upgrades and downloads in Mac App Store will work fine)."

Is this true? If so, does it mean you can't ever reboot, or?

Thanks!

Did you delete 11 by using the App Zap or the terminal? If you did use terminal when you entered in these commands:

killall iTunes

killall "iTunes Helper"

sudo rm -rf /Applications/iTunes.app/

Do you enter all 3 together and then shoot or do you have to enter each one at a time and enter each command individually?
