There are thousands of disgruntled users comments here. I'd like to add another and apologies if it's already been addressed. I use the 'insert filename' feeature on evry document I create. Why? Becuase users often want to locate the document so that they can edit it or copy it or whatever they want to do with it. It's a great feature alonf with the attachment of 'show directory path' it can save hours looking for a file on a computer or server. bring it back Apple we need it!

While the ability to insert a filename may well be a useful feature, it's hard to see how it could "save hours looking for a file." To see the inserted filename, you have to have the document open, and if the document is open you can just command click on the name in the title bar of the window to see the path as a hierarchical menu, in which you can select any of the enclosing folders to select it:

You can see the state of play, in these forums, despite the efforts of those trying to ignore or hide the problems.

Your options are limited to:

1. Continuing with Pages '09 whilst it is still usable

2. Switching to alternative software, such as LibreOffice (free)

3. Rating/reviewing the new versions in the App Store

4. Giving up on Apple, because this is its new direction, one which it is unlikely to change.
