Q: 10.9 VPN behind Airport Extreme no longer works

I have OS X Server 10.9 running, migrated from 10.8. My server is behind an Airport Extreme and worked on 10.8. No when I try to connect from my iPhone I get server not found. Any Ideas. Access to web pages and VNC still works.

If you replace use/slib/racoon with the server 2.2 version it works again (be sure to reboot after replacing as the file is in use).

    It's a hidden directory, so you won't be able to navigate to it using Finder without using the menu option Go > Go To Folder..., or use Terminal.

    Thanks. Was able to get the racoon file from Time Capsule backup of ML Server 2.2, and with the help of this thread get VPN back up and going.

     

    Confirmed that this patch does allow L2TP to connect over AT&T LTE network.

     

    I sure hope Apple will learn from this and quit releasing server updates that have not be tested thoroughly first.
