Maverick upgrade - Apps freezing 5-10 seconds?

Just upgraded, rebooted twice, and suddenly apps are freezing up on me for 5-10 seconds every few minutes. I can move the mouse around but can't access any of the apps during the freeze. No spinning beach ball or similar, just these random freezes. iMac Late 2012, 3.4 i7, Fusion Drive, 32GB RAM. Tried verifying/fixing disk and permissions. No disk issues. The usual handful of permission fixes that had no effect. Anyone else dealing with this?

Got it, thanks for sharing! I'm going to wait a bit and see if Logitech resolves this. After you mentioned your fix I found this article, apparently Logitech is not Mavericks-friendly yet.

And this problem logged by another user:

I imagine Logitech will deal with it sooner than later. I'm not going to test this for now but if anyone else tries and can verify it works for them please post!

i have the same problem. I do not have any logitech devices. I have the magic mouse.

after installing twice the mavericks os my Imac 24 after a few minutes stuck, sometimes let me for 20-40 seconds and then it locks.

needs all the time to make restarts and the problem remains. my last solution now is to make a full format because the repair disk didn't not helped.
