iCloud mail not available after mavericks

Why is this so incredibly cryptic to figure out? Shouldn't this sort of thing be straightforward. "Apple Token" sounds too Microsoft-esque.

i tried but can not open the internet accounts tab - just hangs up

Restonstu; I think you're in System Preferences. Open the Mail app. Access "preferences in Mail. Now select Accounts. Make sure iCloud account is selected and then choose "Advanced. Click the button "Authentication" and select "Apple Token". Close Preferences and Save. That should do it.

had same issue. Did the 'tokens' thing, then had to quit 'mail' and re-open before it worked again

...frustrating couple of hours trying to find this!
