Q: will Logic Express 9 run on OSX Maverick?

Updated my 2009 MacbookPro and Logic 9.1.8 seems to be working fine.  I've only done simple edits and playback for the moment, but I've had no problems.

I updated several days ago. Today I made the first experiences with Logic Express on Maverick. It is terrible. I had 3 crashs in 5 minutes.

Not to discount your problems but I've been running just fine for 2 weeks. No crashes.

I think I've got it now. Problem appears only when I use 2 monitors. By using only my MBP there is no problem.

I have troubles with my 32-Bit AU Server and can not use my 32-Bit instruments like sylenth1 and I needed very much.All 64-Bit instruments running very good on Mavericks.Do you have a solution to that.Tnx.

You might want to check out this adaptor.  Sylenth1 is listed in their compatibility chart.

Are you still having no problems with Mavericks and Logic Express 9.1.8?

I have not updated yet and really want to make sure that all is good before i do....

I have still problems with LE 9 and Mavericks. It is very dangerous to use right mouse-click in transport area. And sometimes the mouse-pointer shows incorrect signs. It runs but you have to be very carefull. Better you save after every workstep.

I would like to tell me if I fix your problem and can help me, I had an Imac 24 "Snow Leopard 10.6, and switch to Imac 20" with OSX 10.9 Maverick, Logic Express 9 runs me, but can not find any library with documents made ​​inthe old machine ... Though I can't say for sure, as I don't work for apple, but I wouldn't hold your breath for any further updates to express versions. With Pro X they did a complete redesign.

You mau have already had this question answered but,

I was given an MBP with Mavericks on and tried to install Express 9 today.

The installation went through OK but, when I tried to use it  got the message flagged up

"Logic Express  will not work with this version of OSX"

I'm running LE9 on Mavericks. After installation you need to update it to v. 9.1.8 to get it to work.

Works for me as well.
