Every time I try to use Enhanced Dictation it re-downloads it

I tried repairing permissions, but that didn’t help. I think it has downloaded and installed about 10x now. So that’s cool.

I also had to delete other files com.apple.assistant.*.plist - I had one called com.apple.assistant.backedup.plist and one called com.apple.assistant.support.plist

Hope that helps someone...

I found the answer to this problem.

Go to
```
~/Library/Preferences
```
( ⇧+⌘+G )
Locate
```
com.apple.assistant.plist
```
and move it to the Trash
Open Dictation & Speech preference panel, disable dictation
Reboot
Re-enable Dictation & Speech.

I am facing the exact same issue. I tried the above mentioned steps but it did not solve my problem.

Before find this page I read somewhere to delete SpeechRecognitionCoreLanguages from /System/Library/Speech/Recognizers/ I did not find the specified folder but found some other folder which I deleted. Currently my Recognizers folder is empty.

I am having the same issue. I switched my language to UK english and it works fine. However if I switch it back to US English everytime I envoke dictation... I get the Finding Enhanced Dictaion box then the installing box.. How can I delete the US english and re download?

I have no

com.apple.assistant.plist

This suks....
