Mac App Store not showing updates in list..
MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9)
Hi Matt,
I have the same problem on one of my two Macs, but I want to note that if you know which are the apps that should be updated (like iWork and iLife apps but also 3rd party apps like Pixelmator…), you can go on these apps page on the store by searching their names. There, you’ll be able to update them (The "Buy" button is replaced by an "Update" button).
This way, you won’t be stuck while waiting for this problem to be solved.
Hope this helps.
Same problem here on one out of three machines updated.
I've gotten most of the apps updated the only thing I still have left is an update for mavericks which I can't access since I cannot getting it to show on the updates tab..
Me as well. My iMac works fine but my Macbook Pro 15" is experiencing the same issue as you. I hope a solution is coming soon.
I have the same issue. My guess is that it is related to the Maveriks GM release, but I base it on nothing but that the problem is happening to me (with a GM release), and the internet is not flooded with this issue.
Anyway, if you open up Application folder, hold in CMD button double click on App Store, it fixes the problem.
I'm having the same issue without the GM release (i.e. with the App Store release 13A603).
This worked for me.

Btw holding down command and loading the App Store did not fix things at my end.
This is happening to me too, and the Command thing didn't work. Is there any way to trigger updates from the command line or something?
Fun times, I'm having this issue as well, I've reset the app store, turned on debug mode, no hope here either. Will let you know if I can figure it out, one thing to try is add your drive to spotlight's blacklist then remove it. This will reindex the application folder which from what I read relates to the app store.
Ok I got it working, sign out, delete Library/caches/apple.storeagent helper etc exit app store, re-open app store, refresh updates, sign in again (I also signed in with another account) and it has sorted itself out. cmd +r to refresh
Interesting idea, but deleting the apple.storeagent helper folder in the cache didn't change things here.
I, too, do not see available updates in the Mac App Store, but only the listing of updates installed in the last 30 days.
After talking with an Apple support rep Wednesday, I both created an alternate admin account and booted into Safe Mode. In both cases, the Mac App Store correctly showed the available updates, and at least let me update iTunes. But after returning to the original user account, the problem remained. (The rep speculated that booting into Safe Mode would clear the cache, and thus resolve the issue. Nope.)
Frustrating. As someone else pointed out, one can cruise the Store for updates to third-party apps. But that's not possible for such things as future Mavericks security updates, iTunes updates and the like. Certainly not how it should work....
For me, the problem was solved by re-installing Mavericks on top of the flawed system… It’s like using a hammer to kill a mosquito but it did the trick.
I tired reinstalling Mavericks (on top of Mavericks) and that didn't fix anything.
BUT I just tried the App Store again now (was going to follow michale.boost's tip and needed to sign out) and—mysteriously—App Store updates are working fine again for me.
So strange.
Re-installing Mavericks atop the existing also worked for me. I turned automatica updates back on, and that was the first thing that it downloaded.
Still have the first of the two GMs, though (13A598), rather than the second (build 13A603) but the App Store now shows updates, if there are any.
