Yes, that really *****!!!! I mean really, I can delete page anymore in Pages 5.0?! Really Apple??

P.S. Actually, I found how to delete page in Pages 5.0 (iWork 2013...). You have to deselect "Document body" in document setup section. Than you just delete page in Pages thumbnails section. It turns out to be super simple.

Yes, way around that could be creating text box with the size of the page and formatting it according to your liking. Than to save that document as a template. So much work just to enable deleting/inserting pages. I know, it is so stupid Apple didn't leave old option for deleting pages/sections. Or we are not seeing it yet (which I doubt, but let's leave that option as a viable one until we study this a bit more).

I spend half of yesterday tryin that option. Aside from being completely cumbersome, it doesn't actually do what i need in the end either. When 4.3 works as planned, there is no reason to spend endless hours trying to find a way to make 5 do what you need. I am sure if we assume entremely flexible bend yoga poses with 5, we may find one or two long and twisted workarounds, but it's not going to bring the 20+ others back, so why not just use 4.3 ?

The only drag is that it feels worse having to resort to 4.3 now, where as if 5 hadn't been released, we'd all be fine with 4.3

...and on my retina mbpro 2012, 4.3 doesn't feel that smooth compared to 5 which is extremely smooth....

Same issue here. Normally when something is updated its supposed to evolve forward and not backwards!!! Getting rid of the thumbnail view menu options is a major blunder!

This Pages 5 does not make sense!

Why would you want to make it more difficult to be creative? Between this, and IOS7 I'm starting to become less of an Apple Fan.

I really need to quickly and easily delete pages within a doc.

Might have to go back to WORD.

I am glad I am not alone here.. I run a training company and our documents need to be changed constantly. We are always moving pages around. Deleting pages...iserting new ones.. I am really strugging to work out how to do this with the new version of Pages.. It is driving me nuts...

Oh and has anyone tried to format a table.. I am at a loss to know how I can change the size of a single column. Apple, what are you playing at!

Hi have found the solution. You need go into the View menu and make sure that you have checked the Show Invisibles option. Once you can see the invisibles, you should see a blue line at the top of the "blank" page with a small "document" icon at the right of the line. You need to delete this blue line/icon which will delete the whole page as long as there are no other "invisible items" which may also need to be deleted.

I did the above and my blank page disappeared from the thumbnails view immediately.

The blue line is either a page break or a section break. So, on any page that has text and one of those breaks, deleting the break doesn't delete the whole page. It just removes the page or section break.

Have any of you tried deleting the CONTENT of the page? Pages 5.0 is really a word processor and deleting content will cahnge the numbers of pages in the document. Adding Section breaks is just a work around.

Thanks for the portion of the problem (deleting a page) that this solves but the question still remains: how to move (used to be drag-n-drop dead simple) page order (via thumbnails on left)???

    Anyone??
