Nov 10, 2013 4:41 AM in response to Steve Rhyneby tompeedee,Hi Steve,
I got it to work using your suggestion. It works for a while and then stops again, which means I keep on having to go through this process every couple of days. Does this happen with you?

Nov 10, 2013 5:29 AM in response to tompeedeeby lkrupp,Whenever there are a number of different methods (or Voodoo incantations) to resolve an issue like this, sometimes only temporarily, it usually means there is a real problem that needs to be fixed. And only Apple can fix it. We haven't seen the first Mavericks update yet.

Nov 10, 2013 2:42 PM in response to explorzby DavidThornton,The ONLY fix that worked for me was to change my IPv6 setting from "Off" to "Automatic." I restarted my MacBook and opened up my iTunes, and my iPhone 5 showed up as a device and I was able to perform a WiFi sync. This works!

Nov 10, 2013 3:36 PM in response to RKCOJOHNby Lukecro,RKCOJOHN: Thanks for the tip! I checked my Airport Extreme Base Station settings, and your suspicion was correct -- it was set to link-local instead having IPv6 automatic turned on.
So, I switched that over, and it didn't seem to make a difference. So then I completely reset the Airport -- "restore default settings" -- created a new network, and left IPv6 turned on for both the Airport and the iMac.
The good news: I now pass all of the usual IPv6 browser tests -- like www.ipv6.apple.com and test-ipv6.com -- which didn't use to work for me. So your tip on updating the Airport settings resulted in this nice perk!
The bad news: It had absolutely no effect on getting my iPhones to show up in iTunes on my iMac. iDeclare, iProbably just have to wait for Apple to issue another Mavericks update (like lkrupp notes above), because something is amiss here.
I don't know if it helps much, but I've filed a couple more tickets at Apple.com/Feedback about Mavericks causing havock with iPhones connecting to iTunes and various SMB network share issues. Fingers crossed.

Nov 10, 2013 3:37 PM in response to Lukecroby Matthew Rosen,Did you enable it in System Preferences?
-
Nov 10, 2013 6:24 PM in response to Matthew Rosenby Lukecro,Yes, 'fraid so -- enabling IPv6 in System Preferences for the computer itself is the one of the first things I tried.

Nov 10, 2013 6:32 PM in response to Lukecroby RKCOJOHN,Lukecro: like I said, I'm feelin' your arrrrghhh!
So, hope you don't mind me asking, just for completeness: do you have wifi enabled on the iMac together with Ethernet? Have you checked the IPv6 settings on both the Ethernet and WiFi configurations in System Preferences?
After 2 days, all continues to run smoothly for me.
Cheers.

Nov 10, 2013 6:44 PM in response to mm_on_ascby mm_on_asc,So this is where I with the issue.
Up until going to Mavericks, my early 2008 24" iMac was connected to my airport extreme via ethernet cable. iTunes synching of my iPhone4 and iPad3 was done via wifi, with wifi turned OFF on my iMac.
I have given most of the suggestions here a try with no success. The only thing that worked for me was to unplug my ethernet cable, turn on wifi on my iMac, and relaunch iTunes. Only then do my iOS devices show up.
Hope this helps others, until Apple sorts this out as there is definetely someting amiss.

Nov 10, 2013 11:29 PM in response to akira9by Michael9009,Indeed, turning on IPv6 solved the Wi-Fi sync problem for me. It had been set to 'Manual' under Wi-Fi and, as soon as I changed the IPv6 setting to 'Automatic' and started iTunes, all my Wi-Fi connected devices appeared in iTunes. And they all synced like a charm.
Try this:
1. Open 'System Preferences';
2. Click on 'Network';
3. Select 'Wi-Fi';
4. Click on 'Advanced';
5. Click on the 'TCP/IP' tab;
6. Under 'Configure IPv6', select 'Automatically';
7. Click 'OK';
8. Click 'Apply';
9. Ensure the 'Wi-Fi' status is 'Connected';
10. Close 'System Preferences';
11. Ensure your iOS devices are connected to your Wi-Fi network; and
12. Start iTunes and the devices should appear one by one in the left pane.
Good luck.

Nov 11, 2013 2:11 AM in response to Michael9009by Amin_AA,Unfortunatly for me, this hasn't solved the problem. I never had IPv6 disabled to begin with so what I did was to disable it, apply the settings and then enable, apply and re-start. No luck.

Nov 11, 2013 12:22 PM in response to explorzby MaryBoog,Hasn't solved it for me either. iTunes sees my iPhone, but just does not sync... Tried with restarting iPhone & Mac, but nothing... no sync via WiFi and als not via USB.

Completely different issue than the one discussed in this thread. We are talking about syncing over Wi-Fi only. If you can't sync at all, either USB or Wi-Fi, then you have more serious problems. Try starting your own discussion thread to seek help.

Nov 11, 2013 5:29 PM in response to RKCOJOHNby mbenz1962,I was able to get my 5 iDevices to show up in iTunes 11.1.3 by going into System preferences and change IPv6 to configure "automatically" and after a rebot, everything worked like a charm. This definately works.

Nov 11, 2013 6:16 PM in response to explorzby Rob Rushing,Same exact issue, running all the latest (10.9 and 11.1.3). Can sync via USB, but my iPhone 5S never shows up at all in iTunes. No problem with the iPad and an old iPod touch. Dozens of restarts on both the Mac and the iPhone, to no avail. My IPv6 was always set to "automatically," so that hasn't helped.

Nov 12, 2013 1:51 PM in response to explorzby JohnnyP99,I have a slight variant on this issue but I believe it is directly related. I have had no issue with wifi sync on any of my devices (iPhone5, iPhone4, iPad, iPad2) but I have recently added 2 iPad mini's and whilst these sync perfectly well over USB they are not seen by iTunes once disconnected. Sync option available in the devices and checkbox selected in iTunes appropriately. IPv6 set to 'automatically'. I've even set static IPs on the iPad minis as this is mentioned in another post as a fix to the issue - no changes have resulted in success!
iTunes 11.1.3 (8), MBP Mavericks 10.9, iPad Minis iOS 7.0.3 (11B511).
All but original iPad are running iOS7
