Airport Extreme and UPnP enabling

I am trying to connect my Panasonic IP Camera to the Apple Extreme (using a PC with Window XP Prof installed) but received the following error message regarding UPnP:

"Failed to configure the router's Port Forwarding by UPnP.
The router may not support UPnP function or UPnP function is disabled. Please enable your router's UPnP or configure Port Forwarding manually".

Can someone please tell me how I can enable the UPnP or configure the Port Forwarding using the "Airport Extreme Utility Program"?

For your info, my Airport Extreme firmware has already been upgraded to Version 5.7.

Appreciate if someone can assist please. Thank you.

fpv, Welcome to the discussion area!

Port forwarding/mapping is explained in Steve Newstrum's user tip "How do I use Port Mapping (Part I)".

Duane,

My apolgy for late response as I was away without internet for quite a while.

Not sure if you or anyone knows: is there a way to enable the Apple Extreme wirless router to update the Dyndns.com database automatically with my dynamic IP address as what the Linksys and Buffalo routers can do? I do not want to leave my PC on or else I would have used the "DDNS Updater" programme instead.

Appreciate if I can get some advice from you or other experts out there on this matter. Thank you.

Thank you RJ. Hope Apple can add this new feature to the future upgrades of Apple Extreme. I think a lot of the users are also like me, who only have dynamic IP address, may not want to leave their computer on unattended whilst they are away and with a need to use Web Cam for remote monitoring. Thus the ability of Apple Extreme to update websites like Dyndns.com etc on IP changes will surely be of great use to this group of users.
