Oct 24, 2013 1:19 AM in response to pninanby p1991atric,What worked for me was changing the certificate preferences in Keychain Access (open Keychain Access app and then go to preferences).
I just changed both of the first two options to 'Best Attempt', they were originaly at 'Require if certificate indicates'.

Jun 22, 2014 10:28 PM in response to pninanby RealHeartMozart,Now this problem is solved if you install updates after installing Mavericks. Go to App Store | Updates | Install all updates.
This is better than the workaround of disabling some certificate security features.
