I get stuck in the INS/OVR trap running Microsoft Visual Studio in a VM on my Mac. Here is how to switch it. On the keypad the "clear" key is the "num lock" key in Windows. Toggle out of num lock mode, and the "0" (zero) key on the keypad is the INS/OVR toggle.
The doument on the link suggested fn+enter, which is interesting because of course there isn't an enter key on a mac, but helpfully in the same document it informs that for 'enter' use 'return' on the mac. Anyway it doesn't work, has anyone got any other suggestions ? Can't believe that you don't get an insert/overwrite option on a mac - fairly basic for anyone who does a lot of document writing !
Help ???
Take a look at this link. It should meet your needs.
Boot Camp: About keyboards and key assignment for Microsoft Windows
I have an Apple Keyboard with numeric pad and the layout is as shown Old Toad, return does not do it and also Fn+delete and Delete both delete forward only
Perhaps I'm not at my brightest today but scrolling down the link I sent you headed Boot Camp, there seems a fair amount of info there. Did you scroll right through it?
Nailed it!
