Sent messages not appearing in Sent folder when using Exchange

I have just upgraded to Mavericks.

I am using the Mail client for iCloud, which works as before ie well, and my University Exchange account.

When I send using the University Exchange account, the sent messages are going and being received ok, but are not being saved and synchronised back to my Mac. They also do not appear on web mail.

I have the Sent- Store sent messages on the Server box ticked.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Same problem with my Exchange account on my home Mac. The Mac at the office, on which I've also installed Exchange, works just fine.

I tried it and it appears to work


"The solution for me was to select a different Outgoing Mail Server. My Exchange account was set to use the "Exchange SMTP" server (which worked fine for me prior to Mavericks). The other option in the pull down menu was something called "Exchange (Exchange)" so I picked it. This solved the problem. Sent mail once again appears in my Exchange Sent Mail folder."
