If you're buying a new Apple iPad for US$100, it's stolen. That's exactly what the activation is intended to address.

Oct 22, 2014 4:45 PM in response to atqoohby Star Traveler,Apple never forced you to buy that iPad. I'm not sure why you think so.
And, I haven't seen Apple charging for bypassing the Activation Lock. Can you provide me with some Apple Support document (on Apple's site) or a newspaper article or a tech magazine article, that shows that Apple charges people to bypass the Activation Lock ... I would like to see that.

i mean with 100 USD, anyone can steal apple device and go to apple maintenance and pay 100 USD to bypass activation, and he can remove old email and add his email. i mean the robber will be increase.
actually, i went to that store i bought from him and they didn't know that email in my old ipad

Oct 22, 2014 4:56 PM in response to atqoohby Star Traveler,When you say they can "go to apple maintenance" ... what exactly is "apple maintenance"? It's not the company "Apple" ... so I would like to know what it is. You are mixing up the actual company of "Apple" with someone who is dealing in Apple products. They are not related to Apple. BUT, if you are actually talking about "Apple" ... when you say "apple maintenance" ... then I would like that name, address, city, e-mail address and phone number for that "Apple" division that you're talking about.
And when you say that someone (or "anyone" actually) can remove the Activation Lock on an iPad ... that is something I would like to see "documented" somewhere. You provide documentation showing that this is actually the case that someone is able to bypass the Activation Lock, and I'll guarantee you ... once you provide that proof ... you'll get world-wide press exposure in a hurry for that information ... LOL ...

No, this cannot happen.

Oct 22, 2014 4:58 PM in response to atqoohby Star Traveler,He's lying to you ... unless he can prove it! And like I said in my last post, if he can prove that, or if you can prove that ... you'll get instant world-wide press articles written about it! I would like to see you do that, and get that worldwide exposure and the different news agencies all over the world calling you ... :-) ...

I'll guarantee you ... he is NOT an "official apple partner" in your country, because he would never say that or do that or lie to you about that, if he were an official apple partner.
BUT ... I do know that there are CROOKS everywhere in the world, and it may very well be the case that -- "if he were an official apple partner" -- he is a crook and Apple will fire him if they find out what kind of crooked dealings he is doing, in lying to people about what Apple will do and lying to you and taking money from you to do something that Apple says cannot be done.
You're dealing with a CROOK ... plain and simple.

Oct 22, 2014 5:17 PM in response to Star Travelerby atqooh, apple can't open branch in all countries, but i'm very sure that apple maintenance is a partner with Apple company. because i went there before 3 months and gave him my son ipad4 broken (under warranty) and they give me a new ipad4 with charging me around 190 USD?
what do you think?
i will provide you company name, city, everything and i will bypass activation through him but what can i get from you?

Oct 22, 2014 5:22 PM in response to atqoohby Star Traveler,I'm not buying anything ... so I don't know what you expect to get from me ... other than to "believe" that (1) someone is an actual Apple representative, and that (2) they are not a crook and that (3) Apple does allow you to bypass the Activation Lock.
You see, we've already been told by Apple (officially) that you are not going to be able to bypass the Activation Lock, so what you are going to provide is "proof" that Apple is lying - or - that person who says he is a representative of Apple is lying.
I'm saying that this person you talk about - is the one who is lying. And if you can prove it, then that would be proof that Apple is lying. And if you can prove that, I would say that's probably worth several thousand dollars in interviews from news agencies all over the world ... :-) ...

OH ... I didn't quite see this at first, but I now see what has happened here. You have been defrauded by a CROOK.
Someone has lied to you that he is an Official Representative of Apple. They have pretended to be one - to you - in order to get you to bring an iPad that is "under warranty" to him in order to replace it for $190 US Dollars. But, what he is doing is lying to you about being a true Apple Representative, and lying about replacing it under warranty, and giving you (instead) a stolen iPad that is "worthless" because of the Activation Lock and saying that this is your warranty replacement. He probably got the worthless iPad for almost no money at all. He collected $190 dollars from you and makes a huge profit ... by giving you that stolen iPad, pretending that he's replacing it under warranty.
That sounds like you've run into a big scam there in your country.

Oct 22, 2014 5:36 PM in response to Star Travelerby Star Traveler,AND ... let me add to this ... he is going to DEFRAUD you further, by telling you that he can bypass the Activation Lock (which he can't) and supply you with another machine for $100 (that's what you said it would cost to bypass the Activation Lock). He's going to fool you into believing that he's actually bypassing the Activation Lock, when he's probably going to give you another worthless machine and take your $100 on it ...
You're dealing with a REAL CROOK here!
Now we know where all these iPads with the Activation Lock on them "activated" are going ...

Oct 22, 2014 6:02 PM in response to Star Travelerby atqooh,i think you don't understand me.
i have 3 sons:
1- (11 years) has ipad2 (that ipad i can't bypass icloud activation) and apple force me to buy a new ipad 2 wifi again (350 USD)
2- (9 years) has ipad 4 wifi and my son broken and washed him (damage device), that i went to apple partner to replace it by 190 USD because it is under warranty.
3- (7 years) has ipad mini wifi, also it washed and broken. i buy new ipad 2 wifi because it bigger than ipad mini and inexpensive.
i'm not stupid to buy any device without warranty from mother company or from partner.
i had money and i can buy everything i need but i don't like deceitfully companies.
also, i have no time to write my issue here to play with you, i wrote here after i make sure 100% everything i said is truth, and i tried everything before register here.if you have a solution post it here or don't make me a stupid please.
