Oct 28, 2013 5:54 AM in response to nbrsby JHZJ,Simply a terrible change by Apple. Fatal as far as I'm concerned. If they can't respond to the outrage over this, I will definitely be looking for new hardware.

Oct 28, 2013 7:06 AM in response to MCPHby fred242,I have also commented on the feedback page. I am exclusively a Mac user since 1985, as is my business and family (well my daughter has a pc/hacintosh for gaming as well as a true Mac) Apple have lost touch with reality if they think that users who care about the security of their data will accept this. What it also meanns is that unless you can downgrade to an earlier version of iTunes, or failing that to os 10.8 then you are shut out from buying any new mac that requires 10.9. How can the company that made the 'computer for the rest of us' have reached such a totally wrong headed decission'?

Oct 28, 2013 12:29 PM in response to nbrsby handsOFFmydata,As mentioned above and elsewhere, please leave the feedback ... your feedback "might" change this unacceptable situation. Your silence will do nothing ... so, go here and express your disappointment: http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html
Spread the word, on social media, in the news, etc.
Here is the copy of my feedback to Apple:
Missing info tab in OSX iTunes after OSX 10.9 upgrade
This is an unacceptable change, and makes my ipad, and ipod, and my wife's iphone useless as a serious tool we used to depend on. Welcome back Windows?
The ill conceived requirement of being on Internet, and making Internet connectivity a must to sync calendar, contact and other data is outrageous, severely limiting, and discriminatory. The approach threatens my data security and infringes on my privacy and right to protect my data my way in my own environment.
The fact that even signing off from icloud wipes the calendar clean, and threatens my other personal data existence on my computer in my home which for the decades was a source and master set of my personal data is unthikeable. I know how to protect it and how to manage it and I do not need the big brothers help in doing it.
Give me back my data, and the ability to manage it and sync between my devices on my own terms at home, in the woods, in the middle of an ocean, without the expense of broadband connectivity and intrusive infrastructure.
In summary ... hands OFF my data.

Oct 28, 2013 12:18 PM in response to nbrsby Galen ,Forcing people to accept something is not the way.
The Visionary passed and Apple seems to have lost their way.

Oct 28, 2013 1:22 PM in response to handsOFFmydataby handsOFFmydata,Since this issue is with OSX 10.9 and not with iTunes per se, you might want to leave your feedback here as well: http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html

Oct 29, 2013 10:04 PM in response to nbrsby DHoogs,Indeed, VERY frustrating! I have no words to express my disappointment with this. PLEASE BRING THE CONTACTS AND CALENDARS SYNC OPTION BACK!

Oct 30, 2013 7:50 AM in response to nbrsby DHoogs,After almost having a nervous breakdown due to the inability of syncing my contacts with my MacBook Pro, I surrendered and decided to sync them between my iPhone and the computer through iCloud. Now, thanks to that, I have more than 1k contacts in "fourplicity" on my contact list, which, originally had around 3k contacts. Not to mention that on my calendar I have now 3 or 4 birthday alerts for each person. This is completely crazy. I couldn't imagine that one day Apple would be able to mess my events and contacts in such way. Not even on my worst iNightmares! PLEASE BRING BACK THE INFO TAB ON ITUNES!

Nov 3, 2013 1:49 PM in response to nbrsby JuergMeister,I am outraged about this as well. I followed the suggestion of providing feedback for iTunes and Apple in general, however I have never seen Apple respond to those posts and I am hoping that someone starts a more highly visible campaign to drive awareness to this. What Apple has done here is really outrageous and I think what will move the needle on this topic as quickly as well all probably would like to see is for the media to pick this up and for the outrage to become visible. Is anyone aware of any facebook, twitter or other social media campaign? Is anyone aware of any media that has picked up on this topic yet?
