Q: When trying to install Mavericks from the app store, nothing happens when I enter my apple ID after clicking the install app button.

Clicking the gray "free upgrade" button makes it turn green and say "install app" then i enter my username and password but nothing happens

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

A:

terminal, key this in this: open $TMPDIR../C/ then a folder will appear, delete the com.apple.appstore folder and then relaunch your Mac App Store.
