I just installed Maverick on my Mac. When I started Final Cut Pro, I got the message that probably it doesn't work with Maverick.
Before that moment it was also impossible to update Final Cut Pro. App Store directed me to Apple Menu looking for updates, and the Apple Menu directed me tot the App Store. Sounds familiar to someone?

What version of FCP X are you using?
The current version is 10.0.9 and works perfectly with Mavericks.
If you are using an older version, you should upgrade. Open the App Store application and click on "updates".

That's an odd message.

Althought it does't solve my problem right away, I know now that the impossibility to update the old version of Final Cut is the cause of trouble.

What version of Final Cut Pro are you talking about?
version 10.0.5. (June 2012) My Mac doesn't support upgrading Final Cut Pro.
Did you originally buy your copy of FCPX trhough the App Store, using an Apple ID?

Why not? Any paid version of FCP can be upgraded through the App Store.
The GM of Mavericks that I tried out shortly before Mavericks actually came out worked great with FCPX until I tried to import something into FCPX. The import window would open and then nothing. Wouldn't let me do or choose anything. Always had to force quit it. So, I'm a little hesitant to upgrade today.
Have not seen that problem in 10.9.
Can you import files into FCPX in Mavericks?
I've just checked and had no problem importing some AVCHD files.
Unfortunately that version of FCPX is not supported for Mavericks and your Mac sounds like it's not supported in the current version of FCPX. Basically if you want to use Mavericks and FCPX it's time to get a new Mac.
I have same problem. I'm using latest version of fcpx 10.0.9 on a macpro (2011), but after installing bloody Mavericks the share > mail export funtion stopped working. No solution so far. Anybody?
You are using a year old version of FCPX. Update now. It is nonsense that you can not as other here have told you. Did you really buy it from App Store ?
