Need help syncing music on HD and videos on External HD with ipod 5g

I have limited HD space on my actual computer, but i have a 300gb external drive where i store my videos. i am trying to figure out a way to have my ipod automatically sync its MUSIC with the hd on my computer, and then automatically sync its VIDEOS from my external HD. does anyone know how I can do this?

Well, as long as iTunes links to the correct places, the iPod should automatically sync with whatever iTunes has.
