Mavericks removed all my contacts birthdays in calender.?

After the last update all my contacts birhdays has been removed from my calender.? Any suggestions.?
In mountain lion my contacts bithdays automatically was copyed from contact info to my calaneder. I found it very nice that i did'nt need to create an calender appointment but with Mavericks that features is now gone..?
