Full screen white menu bar with Mavericks

There is now a white menu bar in full screen on the secodnary display. There is a way of turning it off I found in a KB.

To prevent the white menu bar from appearing on a second or third display, do the following:

  1. From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
  2. Click Mission Control.
  3. Deselect the option for "Displays have separate Spaces."
    User uploaded file
  4. Log out and then back in.
