Upgraded to Mavericks and latest iPhoto 9.5 (902.7). When I open iPhoto, no photos are there. They were stored in a sparse disk image file at Users/Shared/iPhoto_disk_image.sparseimage that used to mount automatically.

Is there a library on that Disk Image? If so:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
I can navigate to the sparseimage file in /Users/Shared but it is greyed out and I cant select it.
You need to mount the disk image in the Finder first.
And the way to do that is doubleclick the icon in its folder and it mounts. Then iPhoto automatically found it and all is good again. Thanks!
