Calendar Problems with ios7 upgrade

When I upgraded my iPhone 5 to ios 7 I lost all the appointments in my calendar prior to 2013 and the times for my appointments were all changed. Fortunately I backed up my iPhone before I updated and I found my backup on iCloud, however all the appointments appear in duplicate and the times have all been changed. How do I get these appointments back on my iPhone with the correct times and removing the duplicates without losing the entries that I have for 2013 which do not appear in iCloud?

I can't believe that rolled out an upgrade that did so much damage. I hate this new calendar, the old one was intuitive, but this one *****.
