iMovie won't update

This message means that in order to upgrade to iMovie 10 you need to use the same Apple ID you used to purchase iMovie 9.

imovie just came with my mac. I never purchased the item separately. Just like iphoto. It just won't upgrade, and I've tried both my id's.

You must also have iMovie version 9 installed prior to the Mavericks upgrade to get iMovie version 10 at no charge.

My issue was resolved when they fixed the glitch that didn't allow it to work on older macs.

I have imovie 11, and it works just fine. The appstore keeps prompting me to upgrade, however, and the upgrade will not go through.
