Cant print to Canon ir5075 on 10.8.4

Hi,

I am trying to set-up the store feature on Cannon ir5075 using osx 10.8.4. I have already correctly configured one ir5075 in the building to print to store using the most recent ps driver. This second ir5075 is giving me trouble though. After I put in the correct IP address (able to ping to it), choose LPD (left queue blank), selected the ps driver and clicked Add I get "Unable to Connect to Printer because of an error". I tried using the UFR driver, but with the same results. The interesting thing is that with the UFR driver, the Mailboxes come up with the names, but when I print it says the printer is busy. Any ideas???

With the UFR2 and PS driver failing, I suspect that the LPD port could be disabled on the iR5075. You can check this via System Preferences > Network > TCP/IP Settings.

I would also suggest you test the theory by creating a new printer but using the Generic PS driver included with OS X (assuming that this iR5075 does have the Postscript kit). If it prints when using LPD for the protocol, then something strange is occurring with the Canon drivers. But if it also fails using the Generic PS driver, then remove this printer and create a new one, this time using HP Jetdirect-Socket for the IP protocol to see if this prints.
