Q: Repair or Rebuild ML Wiki

I have a couple of major issues with the wikis on my ML wiki server that I have been unable to correct.

1. The home page of one wiki goes grey as soon as you open it, with a white square in the middle that says "updating page...". This never goes away. I have tried quickly clicking on the edit pencil, and editing the page content (before the page goes grey) but it does not cure the problem.

2. Search and tags are messed up. If I type a search string into the search box at the top of the page, I get a few hits, but if I then hit return or "show all..." I get a page with fewer or no hits. I have determined that the pages that don't show up are pages that do not identify an owner or editer it the top of the page under the title (instead of something like "Joe Smith updated the page Today at 4:01 pm", there is nothing). I can fix these pages one at a time by clicking on the edit pencil and saving - pages so "edited" now show up correctly in a search.

Clicking on tags fails in the same way.

There are hundreds of pages, so finding and editing each bad page is not practicable.

I tried dumping and reimporting the wikis as detailed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5585 (don't be deceived by the title, it includes instructions to move from one ML server to another)

It did not help.

Help?

I was able to fix problem 1 by very quickly hitting the history link and reverting to an earlier version of the page.

Problem number 2, however, renders the wiki almost unusable. I would greatly appreciate any help.

I have been searching for a solution for this very problem for a couple of years, and was excited to see a post with the exact same symptoms. Imagine my disappointment when I realized I it was my own post from 2013. The upgrade to Mavericks left the wiki intact, but with the same malfunction.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this malfunction?
