Q: OSX Mavericks: Maps: None of my Apple Devices (iPad2 and iPhone 4s both running iOS7) show up in Maps to share directions to my device. They are all on the same Apple ID. Thoughts?

In the Maps App of OSX MAvericks, I am unable to locate my other apple devices to send directions to. I click on the share button and it does not even list the devices as an option. I am using an iPad2 and iPhone 4s both in iOS7 and from the same Apple ID. Thoughts?

I know exactly how all of you feel when you cant get this simple option to work. Ive spent time on the phone with Apple and no help.....however.......I found the answer

If you do not see you device in the share button on Maps on Mac, or you see your device and the share option doesnt work, you need to do this.....

********Simply change the name of your device in iTunes with your device connected to the comp. Sync and run a back up. Example "Sarah's iPhone" to "Sarah's phone". It doesnt matter what it is but something has to be different. Restart you devices and give it some time to sync with Apple.********

After it syncs with Apple, I dont remember how long mine took, you should see it in the share button on the Maps app and should be able to use it then! Hopefully this helps!
