In order to set up iCloud Keychain, one of the items requested is a phone # that can receive SMS messages.
The only phone # we have is a standard land line.
How can we set up iCloud Keychain this way?

It almost sounds like Apple is precluding anyone from using iCloud Keychain unless they have an iPhone (or similar device that accepts SMS), even though they have several iMacs, iPads, Macbooks, iPod Touches, etc.
Is this true? 😕
Just downloaded an app from the App Store that supports SMS and provides a phone # on the iPad (Text Free).
This worked and I was able to set up iCloud Keychain just fine (finally). 🙂
