Which fonts are you using?
Not correctly displayed in iBA, preview, .ibooks export, iPad, Mac....?
A screenshot may help others to see what you're seeing, thanks.
Preview is rough around the edges at best.
You should only rely on exporting an .ibooks file, instead.
Good luck.
Thanks a lot for your help,
I tried, but same problem.

On OS X, run Font Book and check the health of all your fonts - get rid of any that are broken or incompatible, outdated, etc. - also check for and remove any duplicates.
You may need to use a more compatible font.

You did not see the right font on your iPad when you exported to .ibooks format and transferred the file to your device and opened it with iBooks? That would be very strange.
Yep
but the font is marked as compatible in Font Book
that's very strange
Is that font .ttf or .otf? Have you sent an .ibooks file to your iPad? Preview is not reliable.
Yes I sent a .ibook to the iPad
and the font is .otf
that should work it was working before updating to Mavericks
it's a mystery

I don't think it has anything to do with Mavericks. My testing of the new iBooks Author version on 10.7 indicates that it apparently no longer embeds fonts. Pretty inept of Apple to botch this. Let them know via
I've made some other tests some fonts are functionning.
some not
that's very strange.

Could you provide examples of fonts which are not present in iOS which are functioning?
for example Core Sans G Neon (.otf)
which is not on iOS but works perfectly
